
Pizza chains including Pizza Hut are aiming to have at least 50% of their sales originate from online sources, as online customers spend more and are more likely to use promotions that marketers use to drive interest in new products. Bob Kraut, VP-marketing at Pizza Hut, expects to do $1 billion in online sales by the end of 2012, a tenfold increase from the May 2007 level of $100 million, reported Advertising Age.
